The SFCC Roadrunners closed the Forest Park Classic in St. Louis, Missouri on Dec. 12 with a victory against the host team, Forest Park 88-66.
The Roadrunners were led in scoring by sophomores Clifton Fleming and Justyn Watkins with 17 points each. State Fair also got a solid game from the inside tandem of Brandon Scaife, who registered a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Matthew Webb added 10 points.
"Brandon had a really good weekend . . . He finished through contact several times. He was a good presence, and he gave us a really good lift," said Assistant Coach Kevin Thomas.
State Fair will go into the semester’s finals week with a 10-5 record on the season. The Roadrunners have won their last two games to build some momentum for the second half of the season.
"I think it was big because we've lost the last couple of games and haven't been playing really well,” said Thomas. “It's always good to end the semester on a good note with a win.”
State Fair will return to game action on Jan. 5 when they travel to Kansas City, Missouri to take on Penn Valley Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for
