40th Anniversary Celebration

From August 2008 through May 2009, State Fair Community College will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a number of events and activities to commemorate our history and look to our future. The 40th Anniversary Steering Committee was created in November 2007 and has been meeting monthly to plan for the year-long events and projects. For more information, click on the links at left.

Our history
The Junior College District of Sedalia was established in an April 5, 1966, election as a result of a dedicated campaign by the Sedalia Jaycees and several local educators. In September 1968, State Fair Community College opened for classes to 436 students in an interim facility.
