'Bring Mom to the Daum' set for May 134/27/2012-5/13/2012 SEDALIA—The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the State Fair Community College campus will sponsor “Bring Mom to the Daum” from 1-3 p.m. on Mother’s Day, May 13.
The free event will feature hands-on activities led by museum staff relating to the art featured in the current exhibition, “10! The First Decade: A Celebration of the Permanent Collection.” Art projects will be geared to all ages and abilities. Activities will include collage making inspired by mixed-media works in the permanent collection. Also planned are museum tours, refreshments and drawings for a Mother’s Day gift basket and a child’s art supply basket. The first 100 mothers will receive spring flowers. The exhibition features 125 artworks ranging from 1966 to 2010 and includes painting, ceramics, graphics, photography, and mixed media collections. It continues through May 27.
