SFCC to present holiday concerts Dec. 7-8

SEDALIA—The State Fair Community College Music Arts program invites the community to its holiday music concerts at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus.

The program will feature the SFCC Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir and Jazz Runners performing both secular and sacred songs of the season drawn from the last millennium.

The choirs are under the direction of Ron Sayer, instructor of music and Music Arts coordinator, and the Jazz Band is under the direction of Kevin Holbert, adjunct instructor of music. Cynthia Groff and Gwen Kappelman accompany the choirs.

“Heralding the start of the Christmas season, this concert is the perfect celebration to put everyone in the holiday spirit,” said Sayer. “Everyone is sure to hear songs they know and love, and may discover new music as well.”
