CLINTON—Artists in Action, Product Engineering, Science Quiz Show, Cooking with Characters, and 3D Your World are a few of the classes that will be offered this summer through State Fair Community College’s Kids College.

The program, being offered for the first time at the SFCC-Clinton location, offers 20 different five-day enrichment classes for students entering kindergarten through ninth grade next fall.

Classes will begin June 25 and July 9, 16, 23, and 30 and will meet from 9 a.m. to noon or 1-4 p.m. The cost is $89 per class except for LEGO Robotics®, which costs $199 and will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

SFCC President Dr. Marsha Drennon said Kids College is based on the philosophy that fun and learning go hand-in-hand.
“We believe we have created an exceptional learning environment that provides students with many opportunities to learn,” said Drennon. “Our program will feature a wide range of unique activities designed to provide students with extraordinary experiences making topics come alive. Our teachers, from area school districts, will take fresh approaches that challenge children and send them back to school with new perspectives and an excitement for learning.”

Kids College also will be offered for the first time this summer at the SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks location and for the second year on the main campus in Sedalia. Courses and class times differ by location.

A complete schedule of courses, fees, and eligibility requirements is available at sfccmo.edu/lifelonglearning.
