SFCC offers three computer classes in May and June

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College will offer three hands-on computer classes in May and June.

“Computer Maintenance: Avoid the Crash” will teach participants how to do basic computer maintenance such as removing viruses, speeding up the computer and backing up and restoring data. Participants will learn to install new software and drivers for devices such as scanners, printers and cameras; troubleshoot software and hardware; and much more.

The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. May 24 in Fielding Technical Center Room 200. Cost is $35.

“eBay® for Beginners” will teach participants how to join, buy and sell; how bidding works; what your responsibilities are as an eBay® user; and how to trade safely on eBay®.

The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. May 31 in Fielding Technical Center Room 200. Cost is $35.

“Get Free Stuff Using Your Computer” will teach participants the best ways to search for thousands of free applications, utility software and games available on the Internet. Class members will discuss and briefly explore some of them and take home a disc with the best ones.

The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. June 7 in Fielding Technical Center Room 200. Cost is $35.

Instructor for all three courses is Vern Haynes III.
