SFCC Theatre Arts students to showcase talents May 10-11

SEDALIA—The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts program will present a free student theatre showcase at 7:30 p.m. May 10-11 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre in the Yeater Learning Center, Room 126.

The showcase will feature five short student-directed, one-act plays, a collaborative project of students in SFCC’s acting, directing and stagecraft classes. Admission is free, and reservations are not required. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Parental guidance is suggested. Plays will include:

 “The Strangest Kind of Romance” by Tennessee Williams, directed by Taylor Hudson, Pilot Grove
“Sex Lives of Super Heroes” by Stephen Gregg, directed by Jessica Scott, Versailles
 “For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls” by Christopher Durang, directed by DyNisha Hawkins, Sedalia
“The Lady Killer” by John S. Wells, directed by Amanda Ahrens, Stover
“Tainted Love” by Walter Wykes, directed by Briana Giaridina, Orange County, Calif.
