SFCC to sponsor free 'Growing up with Meth' workshop April 19

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College will sponsor a free family connections workshop April 19 on “Growing Up With Meth” for adults who are concerned about the drug methamphetamine and its affect on children in our community.
The seminar, designed for parents, grandparents, caregivers and childcare providers, will meet from 6-8 p.m. in Room 149 of the Yeater Learning Center on the SFCC campus. There is no charge. Registration deadline is April 17.
Free childcare will be provided in Yeater Room 148. Please call by April 17 to register children.
Participants can learn about methamphetamine and its impact on the brain; typical behavior changes; where kids are getting it and its street names; statistics for Pettis and surrounding counties; and where to get help.
