SFCC Music Arts program coordinator honored by ACDA

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College Music Arts Program Coordinator Ron Sayer has accepted  the chairmanship of the audition committee to choose the performing choirs for the 2013 national conference of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) in Dallas, Tex.

Choirs of all age groups from elementary school through adult community choirs can submit audition CDs to be considered for one of 20 to 25 performing slots at the conference. Typically, more than 150 choirs submit CDs.

Choirs selected will perform at the March 2013 conference in Dallas.

Sayer also will review proposals in the adult community choir category to select presenters for the conference.
