SFCC instructor Brad Driskill elected to national board

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College agriculture instructor Brad Driskill has been elected to serve a three-year term on the national Post-Secondary Agriculture Students Organization Board of Directors.
Driskill was elected during the national Post-Secondary Agriculture Students (PAS) conference March 14-17 in Des Moines.
Driskill, a native of Cross Timbers, received an Associate of Arts degree from SFCC and a Bachelor of Science degree in general agriculture from Southwest Missouri State University. He worked in the seed industry for 15 years and began teaching agriculture at SFCC as an adjunct instructor in 2010. In 2011 he became a full-time instructor and Agriculture program coordinator.
He is the advisor for the SFCC Aggies and the West Central Young Farmers.
Driskill lives in Shawnee Mound, where he is a member of the Shawnee R-3 School District Board of Education.
The PAS board has seven student officers and nine non-student members who represent postsecondary faculty, teacher educators, state supervisors, industry, and the U.S. Department of Education.
PAS is an organization associated with agriculture/agribusiness and natural resources offerings in approved postsecondary institutions offering baccalaureate degrees, associate degrees, diplomas and/or certificates. It has about 1,400 members from 62 chapters in 18 states.
PAS is one of the 11 career and technical student organizations that has been approved by the U.S. Department of Education as an integral part of career and technical education.
