SFCC to offer CNA, CMT fall classes
SEDALIA—State Fair Community College will offer Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Technician (CMT) courses this fall, beginning Aug 18. Both are part of SFCC’s Health Care Specialist Nurse Aide program.
A Certified Nurse Assistant works closely with the health care team, must have a strong grasp of emergency procedures and be able to observe a patient’s condition and report that information back to a nurse.
Classes are offered online and on-ground; clinicals are held at various locations. Fall eight- and 16-week classes begin Aug. 18.
A Certified Medication Technician works in long-term care facilities, administers non-parenteral (oral or by inhalation) medications and assists RNs or LPNs with medication therapy.
