SFCC seeks clothing for annual Hire Attire sale
SEDALIA—State Fair Community College is seeking donations of quality used women’s and men’s clothing for the 10th annual “Hire Attire” professional clothing sale.
Hire Attire was created to provide affordable professional clothing for SFCC students who are working or about to enter the workforce.
Donations of business and business casual attire will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 17 and April 21 in Thompson Conference Center in the Heckart Center on campus. Items requested include jackets, slacks, shirts, ties, blouses, skirts, suits, dresses, sweaters and accessories.
The Hire Attire sale will be open to SFCC students from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 23 and will feature an outdoor fashion show at noon on Lamm’s Landing in front of the Stauffacher Center for the Fine Arts. In the event of inclement weather, the show will be in Yeater Learning Center lobby.
The sale will open to the public from 4:30-7:30 p.m. April 23 and from 8 a.m. to noon April 24 in the Thompson Conference Center.
Each item will cost $2 on April 23 and $1 on April 24.
The Business programs and the SFCC chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), an organization for college business students, are event sponsors. Proceeds will fund student scholarships. Cash donations also are accepted.
