SFCC uses Facebook, LinkedIn to connect alumni

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College has added two new tools to the web-based resources it uses to help its 12,000-plus alumni reconnect, reminisce and stay abreast of happenings on campus.

Jackie Almquist, executive director of the SFCC Foundation, said the college has created a State Fair Community College Alumni page on Facebook and an alumni and friends group on LinkedIn, a professional networking Web site.

 “These online sites can serve as great resources for alumni and friends around the world who wish to network and communicate with one another and SFCC,” said Almquist. “Sharing an alma mater creates an instant connection among people.”
