SFCC students attend national ag conference

SEDALIA
—State Fair Community College agriculture students won honors at the national Post-Secondary Agriculture Students (PAS) conference March 14-17 in Des Moines.

Twelve students competed in career specialist areas and employment interviews, attended workshops and toured the Pioneer Research Facility. Instructors Brad Driskill and Mark Albright accompanied the students. 

Ryan Meyers, Mexico, Mo., was elected vice president of the national PAS Association. He will represent the national organization at events across the country while receiving leadership training and experience.

Penny Warner, Ionia, won second place in the floriculture employment interview contest, competing against students from across the nation. She was judged on a work application, resume, cover letter, and an interview with an industry representative.


Devann Gregory, Houstonia, and Stephan Schafer, Martinsburg, represented the Missouri PAS as its two voting delegates to the national delegates meeting.
