Leading Lean - The Human Side of Six Sigma

The viability of a Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma approach depends on the motivation of employees to do things in new ways, using new procedures. That motivation derives from a sense of job "ownership" and pride; in other words, it derives from empowerment. When implemented correctly, using powerful statistical tools and methodologies combined with the appropriate leadership and workforce skills, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma can have a tremendous positive impact on the organization's culture, driving gains in employee satisfaction, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Let's Go FISHing! Is an exciting new class that introduces the FISH! Philosophy. FISH is a film that has become a global phenomenon that is helping thousands of organizations become alive, engaged and more profitable. FISH! promotes a clear vision of your job and a dedication to that vision. Passion and playfulness are kept alive through a deep, daily and very personal commitment. It promotes a culture where all employees, not just management, take personal responsibility for regenerating the vision every day. Workers begin to want to coach each other in a way that will help them live the vision more effectively.

Truck Driving - Class A CDL

This program is designed to train new truck drivers in the rules of the road, keeping logs, understanding regulations, and how to drive. Upon completion, participants will have earned their basic Class A CDL to include general, air brakes, and combinations. The training is a four-week program that incorporates approximately 200 hours of classroom time and driving time. As you increase your driving abilities, you will experience increasing amounts of traffic and different types of road conditions. Both low-use and high-use docks will be used for practice.
